Ceiling Visualizers
Like desktop visualizers, ceiling visualizers got their name from their function. They are designed to be mounted on or in a ceiling. Ceiling visualizers are a perfect fixed solution for conferencing/meeting/training/classrooms that are designed to hide all high-tech equipment that should be present but not seen.
Advantages of a Ceiling Visualizer
Like a projector they can be mounted on a ceiling or integrated into a suspended ceiling. The advantages of ceiling visualizers are that no equipment is placed on the table or work surface and the view between the presenter and the audience remains uninterrupted.
Due to the design and function of ceiling visualizers there is a far greater distance from the lens of the Visualizer to the subject matter. Therefore the zoom capabilities are usually far greater than those of the portable and desktop type.
One advantage of their zoom capabilities and distance between subjects is that they can view much larger items such as: architectural drawings, cartographic material or large objects. However the display technology that is used will determine the legibility and overall sharpness of the subject being displayed.
Positioning subject material under ceiling visualizers can become difficult. Some models are equipped with a laser pointer to guide the viewing surface. Wolfvision however project a light field on the viewing surface to allow easy positioning.
